SEKOLAH KEBANGSAAN TAMAN KOPERASI POLIS

This school building was erected in 1987 on a former mine land of 4.92 acres (19262 square meters). It was completed in 1992 after facing several obstacles.

The school session started in December 1992 with a total of 7 students placed in 21 classes with 30 teachers. Most of these pioneer students moved from SK Taman Selasih, SK Kg Batu, SK Batu 4 Jalan Ipoh and SK Taman Selayang.

The Parents and Teachers Association was established on January 16, 1993. In the 1993/94 school session, Special Classes for Learning Disabilities were opened to accommodate a total of 37 students. The teaching staff is 10 people. In 2005, Pre PKBP Classes were opened to meet the needs of students with learning disabilities. Mrs. Norhayati Ahmad Mokhtar is the Pre PKBP coordinating teacher.

This school continues to attract the attention of parents to send their children to study. To accommodate the increasing number of students, evening sessions had to be held from 1 January 1995. The number of students increasing year by year prompted the school to open another additional building. The one-storey building which was erected next to the school canteen was built in 1999. It started operating in 2000 which houses Year 4 classes.

In 2002, a 4-storey building was built next to the C block building, beside the field. Part of the field had to be sacrificed to make way for the construction of the building. In 2003 the building was completed and started operating in 2004. The building is equipped with classrooms and special rooms. In that year the students placed there were Year 5 and Year 6 students. The special rooms located there consisted of a Science Laboratory, a Life Skills Room and a Guidance and Counseling Room.

The Superintendent’s Room and the lower part is an Open Hall for carrying out student activities and certain events including the General Meeting of the Parents and Teachers Association (PIBG). At the same time, a two-storey computer laboratory building was built between block D and block C. In 2003, the computer laboratory was used for the use of students.

Now in 2015, SK Taman Koperasi Polis already has a fairly complete infrastructure to create a conducive learning environment. It is hoped that SK Taman Koperasi Polis will continue to succeed with excellence in this world as well as in the afterlife.
