Taman Bukit Maluri National School was built in early 1986. Before the establishment of this school, the original 2.5 hectare site was a rubber plantation known as Edingburgh Farm. After the authorities approved the construction of a housing park on the farm, the construction of this school was carried out in order to meet the basic needs of the local population.
At the beginning of its construction, this school consisted of two two-storey blocks namely Block A and Block B and a canteen. The number of classrooms is 24. In early 1995 a classroom was renovated to be used as a Computer Room. While in December 1999 a new one-story block building was built to accommodate the needs and the increasing number of students. The building was renovated to become a dental clinic and a new hall. In addition, there are several classrooms that have been renovated for P&P use, namely the Self-Access Learning Rooms (PAK/SAL) and Environmental Education (PAS).
The success of SKTBM as a result of the cooperation of parents and teachers (PIBG) was established on 19 March 1988 and has greatly contributed to the development of the school.
The impact of student changes, SKTBM was changed from a grade B SKTBM in 1997 to a grade A school in November 1991. While in 1992, SKTBM started two sessions per school, namely morning and afternoon. SKTBM has been led by 7 Headmasters until today under the leadership of Mr. Saadun Kasim AMW.PPN.PJK. while the number of teachers was 11 in 1987 and increased to 54 in 2005. The number of students increased from 220 to 850 in 2005.
SKTBM has also been cheered up with interesting mural paintings for P&P use in line with Cross Curriculum Mural Education (PMMK). Vocabulary Garden, Greenhouse and Science Pool.
In line with the IT era, SKTBM also stepped towards the Bistari School in line with current technological developments. From the aspect of excellence, SKTBM has been recognized as a school that always has excellent results in the Academic & Co-curricular field. In 1997 this school won the quality award of the Ministry of Education Finance Division and School of National Hope in 1998.
Coinciding with the school motto “INTELLIGENT & INTELLIGENT” SKTBM has managed to achieve outstanding success in UPSR. The number of students who managed to get 5A results is very proud. In 2004, a total of 74 students obtained 5A and overall UPSR 98%. This result places SKTBM among the best schools in Kuala Lumpur in the excellent achievement of UPSR 2004.
